Someone was seen tiptoeing through the tulips.
I stopped by my parents house after work so I could put out their garbage. While there I grabbed a few shots of my mum’s sedum plants. I love these plants because they’re so easy to care for, they spread beautifully and they look so lovely this time of year.
This is my first ever picture of a butterfly. I usually take too much time to focus and the butterfly is long gone by the time I click the button. This guy really wanted to hang out in my garden. At one point the butterfly was being bombarded by a tiny wasp thing.
This busy bee was working hard in my tiny garden.
I love the pale, delicate pink of this hydrangea plant. We just planted it last fall and so far (touch wood), it’s survived the lack of rain this summer.
Yay the raspberries are in season! They’re my favorite berry. Nothing can compare to fresh local raspberries on frozen chocolate yogurt – yum! I found these wild raspberries at the dog park so I didn’t sample any.
This is one of my neighbours echinacea flowers. We planted some last year but they’re not as gorgeous as this one.
I found this beautiful garden of poppies the other morning. I stopped by again today to take some closer pictures with my 50mm lens. It was very sunny and many of the pictures were over exposed. I will go there again when the sun is less intense.
I came across this beautiful garden on my ride to work this morning. The garden is filled with so many different kinds of poppies and daisies! I love all the different colours.
It amazes me how my tiny perennial garden gives me surprises throughout the spring and summer. Today the daisy’s are starting to open. They’re so beautiful.
